We were all reminded how unimportant sailing is today when the entire sailing community took pause to mourn the passage of Miller Guice’s father. The entire sailing community and volunteers of MGRW wish him and his family the best.
After two frustrating days cancelled for weather we were finally able to get a few races off today. The day started with winds out of the NE at around 10kts. Unfortunately the wind slowly declined during the day limiting the number of races we were able to get off. Our scat boats did a great job rescuing both of the Moths, who had major mechanical issues (I know on broke a mast, unsure on the other). Thankfully we had sent out a few extra RC boats who ably stepped in to ensure the rest of the days racing was as smooth as possible.
Tomorrow we are looking forward to another relatively light wind day, but we are still hopeful we will get off another three races for all our classes.
More updates and concluding remarks tomorrow.
