Southern Yacht Club is hosting a US Sailing Advanced Race Management Seminar Saturday & Sunday January 21-22. This seminar is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to be certified as a US Sailing Club, Regional or National Race officer. This seminar is also helpful for anyone serving on the Race Committee of their local club. Advanced Race Management Seminar Flyer Seminar materials are printed and delivered in advance of the seminar, so advanced registration is required. Seating is limited to 20. Please, no walk-in registrations. Contact Jay Smith at jcarlylesmith@gmail.com if interested. A meeting was held on 11/15/2016 regarding the redevelopment of MYH. The following slideshows were presented: Estimated completion date of the first pier will be beginning 2018, with completion in late 2018 of the second pier. Only Phase 1 is currently funded. |
The Sugar Bowl Football Classic has been a part of the national sports scene for over 80 years, welcoming fans from around the country to the city of New Orleans each New Year’s season. However, there is another Sugar Bowl event which has been in existence for just as long, and within its own arena, it’s recognized as one of the premier national yachting events – the Sugar Bowl Regatta.
