Learn About Sailing Things Series (10/26)

Captain John J Arenstam, USCG Chief, Western Rivers Division and former commander of CG Sector New Orleans along with our own Jay Smith will conduct an informal discussion of essential steps to be taken during sailing emergencies.

Captain Arenstam has served all over the United States and the world, including unforgiving places like Coos Bay, Oregon, Detroit, MI. and Kodiak, Alaska. Topics may include man overboard, serious injuries, and equipment failure., or whatever the group suggests.

All are welcome, bring a brown bag snack if you like. This program is one of the Learn About Sailing Things series, held the last Friday of every month and sponsored by NOYC and LPWSA.

The program will start at 5:30 and end about 7, this Friday, October 25. Great review for those sailing in LPRC, or for anyone who wants to know more about sailing.
