Leukemia Cup Regatta

Congratulations to all of our sailors and participants who helped us raise more than a sail to help fight leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma by raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are proud to announce that the <br>2008 event raised over $115,000! Our 2009 goal is $125,000! With your help, we can reach and even surpass that goal!

And, keep in mind that fundraising is easy; just ask us how. Each participant will receive a Fundraising Handbook filled with incentives, event ideas and sample letters.

Aside from winning great prizes, you’ll be helping to save lives and to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Membership Development Happy Hour

NOYC is continuing to experience growth in its membership rolls and is nearing a critical mass to become one of the stronger GYA sailing clubs.

Please help your club in this challenge.

By bringing in new members, your club can continue to grow and bring new and outstanding facilities and services to you
as well as speed up the current development programs.

On Friday April 3rd, NOYC will be holding a Membership Development Happy Hour.

NOYC will be open to all prospective new members for free wine/draft beer as well as a selection of cheese and hors d’oeurves. Otherwise, standard Happy Hour bar pricing is available until 7pm. If you have a friend or crewmember that you think would be interested in joining the NOYC experience, please personally invite them and attend as their sponsor.

All potential new members will be afforded a half priced initiation fee if the application and fee is submitted on the night of the event only.

Together, we are stronger. Together we can bring a world of sailing experiences home.

NOYC WINS THE PARTY!

New Orleans Yacht Club sponsors the 17th annual Hooters golf tournament to benefit the American Diabetes Association. NOYC golfers David Erwin, Lindsey, Robert Wientjes, Elizabeth “Buzzy” McFerrin, Chris Wientjes and Brent Barnett win the Party after the tournament! “Thanks to all who came out today for a great cause” said Greg Gibson who hosted this year’s fund raising golf tournament at Ormond Country Club.
